Code Ninjas is the nation’s fastest-growing kid's coding franchise. In our center, kids ages 7-14 learn to code in a fun, non-intimidating way – by playing and building video games they love. Kids have a blast and can’t wait to come back. Parents are thrilled as their children gain confidence and new skills including coding, math, logic, and problem-solving, as they progress from white to black belt. We are looking for a STEM Summer Camp Counselor to join our team of dynamic, energetic, forward thinking minds, working toward our common goal: providing a fun and safe learning environment for children. Our instructors are the lifeblood of our Code Ninjas center.

Are you experienced in working with children? Do you enjoy teaching and building problem solving skills in young engineering minds? Have you mentored youth? Do you enjoy STEM, playing video games, coding, or creating digital content?
This could be the role for you.

Responsibilities:

Coach and mentor 6-12 kids each week in coding and STEM curriculum, including Minecraft, Roblox, block-based languages, robotics, 3D modeling, and more.
Complete training courses for our Summer Camp curriculum (we provide all of the curriculum and you will have an opportunity to complete projects yourself before working with the children) during the week before camp, June 16-20th.
Create a positive and safe environment in which students can grow.
Perform extra duties as needed, including organizing, cleaning, and maintaining center equipment and facilities.
Report as needed to Center Director or lead instructor with respect to the day’s activities.
Run 2-6 camps over our 8 week camp program. First camp will be June 23rd-27th.
Work either 8AM-1PM or 12:30PM-5:30PM, Monday through Friday.
Support our Tuesday Market booth in the Kids Zone for most weeks starting in June and running through Sept 2nd.

Compensation: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour
