Who are we?

Code Ninjas is the nation’s fastest-growing kids' coding program, offering a fun and engaging STEM-based learning environment where students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and coding skills. Our summer camps provide exciting hands-on experiences in coding, game development, and technology exploration.

What are we looking for?

As a Summer Camp Code Sensei, you will lead students (ages 8-14) through a variety of coding and technology-based camps. You will create a fun, interactive, and engaging learning environment while teaching students coding fundamentals through platforms such as Roblox, Minecraft, MakeCode Arcade, and LEGO Spike Prime. The ideal candidate enjoys working with kids, has basic coding knowledge, and can make learning both educational and exciting.

Responsibilities include:

Lead students through coding activities and game development projects in a camp-style environment.
Facilitate camps on topics such as Roblox World Creators, Minecraft Modder Gamers, Game Lab: Retro Style, LEGO: RoboDojo, and Content Creators: YouTube Stars.
Keep students engaged and excited about learning while fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and skill levels.
Assist with camp setup, clean-up, and organization of classroom materials.
Ensure a safe, structured, and fun environment for all campers.
Communicate with parents about student progress and camp activities.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in coding and technology – Experience with Roblox, Minecraft, MakeCode Arcade, and LEGO Spike Prime is preferred.
Passion for working with kids and STEM – Enthusiastic about teaching and inspiring young learners.
Teaching or tutoring experience – Prior experience in an educational setting is a plus.
Strong communication skills – Ability to explain coding concepts clearly and in an engaging manner.
Classroom management and leadership – Capable of maintaining a structured, fun, and inclusive learning environment.
Adaptability and problem-solving – Able to adjust teaching methods to different learning styles and help students troubleshoot coding issues.
Creativity and engagement – Can make coding concepts fun, interactive, and accessible to young learners.
Reliable and organized – Punctual, dependable, and able to manage camp materials effectively.
Collaboration and teamwork – Willing to work with fellow instructors and staff to enhance the learning experience.
Availability for summer camps – Must be able to work weekday mornings and afternoons during summer 2025.

Compensation: $10.00 - $16.00 per hour
