Who are we?
Code Ninjas is the nation's fastest-growing kids' coding franchise. In our centers, kids ages 5-14 learn to code in a fun, non-intimidating way - by playing and building the video games they love. Kids have a blast and can’t wait to come back. Parents are thrilled as their children gain confidence and develop new skills, including coding, critical thinking, and problem-solving while advancing from white to black belt. Our core promise is simple: Kids have fun, and parents see results.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Coding Instructor - Junior Program to join our team of dynamic, energetic, and forward-thinking individuals, all working toward a common goal: providing a fun and safe learning environment for children. As a Juniors Sensei, you will be the heart of our Code Ninjas center. You will oversee the day-to-day coaching and engagement of students, ages 5-7. Your focus will be teaching young learners the basics of coding in a fun and engaging way, often using game-based learning approaches.

Do you have experience working with children ages 5-7? Do you enjoy teaching and fostering problem-solving skills in young, budding engineers? If so, this could be the perfect role for you!

Responsibilities Include:

  • Training: Learn the curriculum and become proficient in teaching it
  • Create a positive and safe environment for students to learn and grow
  • Work with children to identify their strengths and areas for growth
  • Provide feedback to parents following student tours
  • Follow opening and closing duties daily
  • Maintain a clean dojo throughout the day, ensuring cleanliness meets corporate standards
  • Report weekly to the Center Assistant Director/Manager on student progress
  • Report daily to the Center Manager regarding the day's activities and dojo productivity
Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children ages 5-7 (e.g., mentoring, coaching, tutoring, etc.)
  • Experience working with the general public
  • Strong background in teaching, mentoring, or childcare
  • Ability to work well with others and collaborate effectively
  • Basic knowledge of coding and technology, or the ability to quickly learn key concepts
  • A fun, engaging personality with a love for working in fast-paced environments with ever-changing requirements
  • Availability on Wednesday and Friday evenings from 4:45 PM - 7:30 PM
Compensation: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
