We are looking for an Operations Manager who can help create a community and a welcoming environment for our students and families. The Operations Manager will manage the classroom/instructors during operational hours, coach and train a team of instructors, and ensure students are provided with an enjoyable and fun learning experience. You will work with parents to define their child’s learning needs and establish a high level of confidence and program value.

In our center, kids ages 5-14 learn to code in a fun, non-intimidating way – by playing and building video games they love. Kids have a blast and can’t wait to come back. Responsibilities include:
- Oversee daily operations of the Classroom
- Manage a team of up to 10-20 employees
- Work with our software and tools to manage operations
- Engage and oversee coding coaches/tutors to ensure team needs are met
- Ensure the center is a fun and safe learning environment for our students
- Ensure that parents understand how their child is learning and progressing
- Uphold standards with respect to center cleanliness & operational standards
- Opening / closing the center when needed
- Report weekly to the Owner on progress
- Must have a strong entrepreneurial drive and be able to lead a team and manage an office with little to no oversight
- Knowledge of business operations and team leadership with customer service experience
- Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to build and nurture strong relationships with families and staff, and foster a culture of fun and creativity
- Proven management skills; ability to train and develop staff, including delegating responsibilities
- Ability to think on the fly and take necessary action to make things happen
- Familiarity with technology, Microsoft suite, social media, office equipment
- Passion for STEM education
- Flexible schedule, must be able to work on weekdays between 2pm-7pm and on Saturdays from 10am-2pm
- Must be fun to work with and enjoy working in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- We can't miss dates or overlook customers
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Must pass background check
- Los Alamitos, CA 90720: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
- Work history with kids (babysitting, mentoring, coaching, tutoring etc.)
- Experience in teaching, mentoring and/or child care preferred but not required
